In Fredrick’s case it is very unfortunate that he has experienced the kind of two-facedness that is common in today’s business world. To approach this situation from a Christian standpoint will prove very difficult. Franklin did not have a patent or copyright on his â€Å"idea†. However, he did have a research project that with some kind of time stamp or proof of having the idea prior to the launch of the business venture by his professors, the project could be used as evidence in Fredrick’s favor. According to Proverbs 17:14; Fredrick may not want to start court action as it may turn into a very long ordeal and in the end would far more benefit Fredrick to find some kind of median with his professors and hope that they can understand that should they fight Fredrick in court it could also turn sour for them. Fredrick could hope to coerce his professors’ into being partners with Frederick this way they all win. Fredrick should approach this situation very carefully, as I stated previously it could turn very ugly for him as well as his professors. Fredrick has all rights to the idea as long as he can prove that it was in fact his prior to the launch of the business. Fredrick should seek retribution but, he should only seek repayment of any damages and request that any financial gain from the idea be paid in full by the professors and nothing more. He should also ask that his professors agree in writing and perhaps video an apology and verbal and written statement declining that they in fact ever devised the idea and declare that it was in fact all Fredrick’s so as to not accept any publicity from the idea itself. The advice given to him is fair and impartial; he is simple asking for what is his. If he does not win the court’s decision he should then leave it at that.
